MHCP 5th Annual Beefsteak Dinner & Tricky Tray Fundraiser a Success
The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic held its 5th Annual Beefsteak Dinner & Tricky Tray Fundraiser on Wednesday May 4, 2011 at the Brownstone in Paterson NJ. The fundraiser included a Beefsteak Dinner, a 50/50 Raffle and great Tricky Tray prizes including: 32” Flat Screen LED Television; Disney Hopper Passes; autographed sports memorabilia; restaurant gift certificates, show tickets and a variety of gift baskets. All proceeds from the event benefited the specialized children’s day treatment programs of the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic.
We would like to give special thanks our contributors: Misako Hersh; David & Diane Jacobs; Chemco Pest Control; Gabriella Manzi; Gloria Bierstein; Andrew & Rita Napolitano; The Scudder’s; Florence Weinstock and The Northern NJ Maternal Child Health Consortium, and to all those who contributed items for our Tricky Tray Auction. We would also like to thank all staff, board members and auxiliary members who donated their time to help put this event together. Lastly, we would like to thank all those who attended the event. Everyone’s support is greatly appreciated and helped to make our event a huge success!

The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic held a Wine Tasting Fundraiser at The Van Vleck House & Gardens in Montclair, NJ on Thursday October 7, 2010. The event included delicious food and three wine stations, each featuring a variety of wines. Everyone who attended had a good time as they sampled the wines and enjoyed the gourmet food. All proceeds raised from the event benefited the New Jersey After 3 Program of the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic.

Bowling Fundraiser
On June 30, 2010, The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic held a Bowling Fundraiser at Wallington Lanes. If fun and games were your thing, this fundraiser was right up your alley. The participants played two to three games of bowling, and enjoyed pizza and soft drinks. There were prizes for High Score, Low Score and Most Marks (Spares and Strikes). The winners were: For High Score- Brigitte Joffe; For Low Score- Kayla Soto; and for Most Marks- Mike Russomanno. Everyone who attended had a great time, while they helped support the Clinic and its specialized childrens programs. The Clinic would like to extend a special thanks to all the participants and those who made donations.
"Night at the Races"
On July 16, 2010, the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic partnered with the Zonta Club of Passaic-Clifton for a Night at the Races Fundraiser. The event was held at the Terraces Suite Buffet at the Meadowlands Racetrack in Secaucus, NJ. The night included admission to the track, buffet dinner, and racing program. It is a sure bet that all who attended had a great time! Proceeds benefitted the Mental Health Clinic’s specialized childrens programs and the Zonta Club of Passaic-Clifton. The Mental Health Clinic and Zonta would like to thank all those who attended and would especially like to thank The Meadowlands Racetrack for helping to make our event a success.

Barnes & Noble Gift Wrapping Fundraiser
The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic will be participating in Gift -wrapping at Barnes & Noble in Clifton and Woodland Park (West Paterson). Books and music make great holiday gifts, so come to Barnes & Noble, have your book and music purchases gift wrapped for free, and in the spirit of the season make a donation to the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic. It is a simple and inexpensive way to support the Clinic and the children and families we serve.
We will be at Barnes & Noble in Clifton on: Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Tuesday, December 15, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm; and Sunday December 20, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. We will be at Barnes & Noble in Woodland Park (West Paterson) on Wednesday December 9, 2009 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Wednesday, December 23, 2009 from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Additionally there were four wine stations, each featuring a variety of wines to compliment the dinner. The wines were arranged through Lauber Selections. Everyone who attended had a good time as they sampled the wines and enjoyed their meal. All proceeds raised from the event benefited the specialized children’s programs of the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic.

Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Lambert Castle was held by Mental Health Clinic of Passaic
The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic held a Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Lambert Castle in Paterson, NJ on October16, 2008. The event included catering provided by the Brownstone to compliment the wines, which were arranged through Gary’s Wine & Marketplace in Wayne, NJ. A good time was had by all who attended as they sampled the great variety of wines and food at the event, and enjoyed the spectacular beauty of Lambert Castle. All proceeds raised from the event benefited the specialized children’s programs of the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic.

All proceeds from the event benefited the specialized children’s programs of the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic.

On Saturday evening, October 27, 2007, the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic celebrated a milestone of great import to the Passaic County community: the 40th anniversary of its incorporation. The 40th Anniversary Gala was held at the Upper Montclair Country Club, Clifton, NJ. The Board of Directors honored the Clinic’s Executive Director, Dr. Sybil C. Schreiber for her dedication to children, the community and the agency. Special guest speakers were Mental Health Clinic of Passaic founder, Dr. Sylvia Riskin, who spoke about the Clinic’s history; and William Pascrell, U.S. Congressman, 8th District, who spoke about the importance of mental health services.

The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic held a Beefsteak Dinner & Auction Fundraiser on Wednesday October 4, 2006 at 6:30pm at the Brownstone, 351 West Broadway, Paterson NJ. The price of $45.00 per person benefited the specialized children’s programs of the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic. The fundraiser included an all you can eat beefsteak dinner, and a raffle of some great prizes, including airline tickets courtesy of Air Tran Airways valued at $1000.00.

The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic held a benefit luncheon at the Glen Ridge Country Club on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 to honor Governor Richard J. Codey for his continuous support of mental health issues.
The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic is a private, not-for-profit agency that provides a wide array of mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in Passaic County, with offices in Passaic City and Clifton.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, which was an ideal time for the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic to honor Governor Codey for his strong mental health advocacy. Among his numerous accomplishments in the area of mental health are his establishing the Governor's Task Force on Mental Health; launching an educational campaign on postpartum depression; expanding the state's mental health hotline so people can get help 24/7; and initiating improvements at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital. Governor Codey's efforts have helped community mental health agencies, like the Mental Health Clinic of Passaic, to be able to continue to provide vital services to New Jersey communities.
The Mental Health Clinic of Passaic thanks everyone who contributed to the event, and especially extends a heartfelt thank you to Governor Richard J. Codey for his continuing support.
